महाराष्ट्र दिवस भारत के महत्वपूर्ण राज्य महाराष्ट्र के स्थापना दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है। इस दिन को हर साल 1 मई को मनाया जाता है। महाराष्ट्र दिवस का महत्व मुंबई परिसर में स्थित महाराष्ट्र राज्य के स्थापना की याद ताजगी से ताजगी बनाए रखने के लिए होता है।

इस दिन को महाराष्ट्र राज्य के स्थापना दिवस के रूप में मनाने का कारण है कि 1 मई 1960 को बॉम्बे राज्य, मध्यमहाराष्ट्र, हैदराबाद राज्य और विदर्भ क्षेत्र को एक साथ लेकर महाराष्ट्र राज्य का गठन किया गया था। महाराष्ट्र राज्य के स्थापना दिवस को सभी महाराष्ट्रीयों द्वारा उत्साह और जोश के साथ मनाया जाता है और इस दिन पर विभिन्न कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाते हैं।

महाराष्ट्र दिन का उत्सव पूरे महाराष्ट्र राज्य में बड़ी धूमधाम से मनाया जाता है। सभी स्कूल और कॉलेज इस दिन को छुट्टी देते हैं। मुंबई में एक विशेष समारोह होता है जिसमें मुंबई विश्वविद्यालय के छात्र और विद्यार्थी भाग लेते हैं। इस उत्सव के दौरान राज्य के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों से लोग एक साथ आकर धमाल मचाते हैं।

महाराष्ट्र दिन पर लोग महाराष्ट्र के विभिन्न स्थानों पर परंपरागत नृत्यों का प्रदर्शन करते हैं। यह नृत्य पावडा, लांडगा आदि होते हैं। इसके अलावा लोग महाराष्ट्र के विविध प्रदेशों से आए रंगबिरंगे फूलों से अलंकृत परेड का आनंद लेते हैं।

इस उत्सव के दौरान महाराष्ट्रीय भोजन भी खाया जाता है। सबसे लोकप्रिय व्यंजन वडा पाव, मिसळ पाव, पूरी भाजी, शेव पुरी, पाव भाजी आदि हैं। महाराष्ट्र दिन एक विशेष दिन है जब महाराष्ट्र के संस्कृति और उत्साह को दुनिया के सामने रखा जाता है।

दि. २८ एप्रिल २०२३, सकाळच्या ८ वाजताची घटना.

मी एक भारताचा जबाबदार नागरिक आणि महाविद्यालयीन विद्यार्थी आहे.

आजही दररोज प्रमाणे काॅलेजला जाण्याची नेहमीचीच घाई. काय करणार? हे आयुष्य, हे जीवन मीच निवडलेलं. काॅलेजपासून माझं शासकीय वसतीगृह जवळपास 10 कि.मी. पेक्षाही जास्त अंतरावर होतं.

रात्री हॉस्टेलमध्ये पाण्याची टंचाई खूप जास्त होती. मुलांच्या तसेच, सेवक वर्गाच्या दुर्लक्षामुळे हे दिवसेंदिवस वाढतच होतं. ना कोणी अन्यायास विरोध करत होतं, ना कोणी दखल घेत होतं. अशा अनेक घटनेस अनेक मुलांसोबत सहभागी साक्षी होतो. पाण्याचा प्रश्न सकाळी येऊ नये म्हणून रात्री नेहमीपेक्षा जास्त लवकर झोपलो. तसही, आज काॅलेजवरून येण्यास खूप उशीर झाला होता. त्याचं एकमेव कारण म्हणजे बस. बस न आल्यामुळे जास्त पायपीट झाली होती.

सकाळी लवकर उठून, सर्व काही आवरून तसेच, नाष्टा बनवून जवळपास दररोजपेक्षा १० मिनिट लवकर निघालो. 

दररोजच्या बस स्थानकावर लवकर पोहचलो. बसने दररोजचा प्रवास चालू झाला. ज्या स्थानकावर दररोज थांबतो त्या स्थानकावर थांबायचे सोडून थेट स्वारगेटला उतरायचं ठरवलं. त्याचं कारण म्हणजे बाहेरचं ढगाळ वातावरण  त्यात जवळ पुस्तकांची बॅग. एका विद्यार्थ्यास पुस्तकांएवढं काय प्रिय असू शकतं?

खिडकीतील दृश्य खूप काही शिकवून जात होती. एक व्यक्ती त्याच्या चेहर्‍यावरील आनंदी भाव केवळ फक्त त्याला खाण्यासाठी काहीतरी भेटलेलं म्हणून भले ते पुरेसं नसावं. आपणही कित्येक वेळा अन्नाची नासाडी करतो. जर का आपल्याकडे सकारात्मक दृष्टीकोन असेल, मदतीस नेहमी चांगले कर्म करत असेल. तर एकप्रकारे आपणही भूकमारीस वैचारिक गुन्हेगारच ना? आपल्याकडे सर्वकाही असून आपण खूश नाही राहू शकत. त्याचं कारण म्हणजे आपल्याला उद्याची चिंता, नेहमीच चेहर्‍यावर बारा वाजलेले. चिंता असावी पण, त्यासाठी आजच्या आनंदास थोडच मुकावं.

बाहेर थंडगार हवा वाहत होती. उन्हाळ्यात पावसाची अवस्था हे केवळ आपलेच कर्म म्हणायला हरकत नाही. बदलते वातावरण, ऐनवेळी होणारे बदल ह्या सर्व गोष्टीत आपणच गुन्हेगार. आपणच प्रदुषण करतो, आपणच निसर्गाचा गैरवापर करतो, जंगल तोड असे असंख्य उदाहरणं आहेत. अश्या थंडगार वातावरणात एक महिला तिच्या लहान मुलाला थंडीपासून संरक्षण करण्यासाठी कानाला बांधत होती. ती फुटपाथवरती बसलेली, कदाचित गरीब असावी. गरीब असो अथवा श्रीमंत प्रत्येक आईचं काळीज हे श्रीमंत असतं. तिची आपल्या मुलांवर अपार प्रेम, माया, जिव्हाळा असतो.

बस चालकाने मला इशारे करून विचारले कुठे उतरायचं आहे मीही बोट दाखवून पुढे इशारा केला. कदाचित आमचा खूप मोठा गैरसमज झाला. त्या चालकाने बस थांबवली नाही, ते स्थानक स्वारगेटच्या आगोदचं असून देखील. त्यांना मी सिग्नलला तर दरवाजा उघडा असे सांगितले. पण त्यांनी नकार दिला. काॅलेजची बस आहे ५ मिनिटात असेही सांगितले पण त्यांनी साफ नाही म्हणाले कारण चेकिंग चालू होती. सिग्नल पहिल्यांदा ३ सेकंदाचा राहिला पण दुसरा मात्र ११०/१११ सेकंदाचा लागला. पण जेव्हा चेकिंग नसते तेव्हा, तर सोडतात मग असा व्यवहार का असावा. त्यांचा माझ्यासोबतचा व्यवहार बरोबर होता. पण तेही एकावेळी चुकीचे होते. बस सुटण्यासाठी थोडेच मिनीट राहिलेली. मीही रागाचा भावनेत त्यांची तक्रार नोंदवण्यासाठी वरिष्ठ अधिकाऱ्यांकडे गेलो. त्यांच्या मते जर का तुम्हाला चालक विचारतच असेल. तर तुमची त्यांनी सेवाच केली. तक्रारीच्या नादात भलीमोठी बसची मागे रांग लागलेली. खरंतर हे त्यांचं कर्तव्यच ना? बससाठी शेवटचे दोन मिनिट राहिलेले. 

प्रश्न वेळेचा होता. बस स्थानकावर येईपर्यंत १ मिनिटांचा विलंब झालेला. हातात असलेली बस निघून गेली. कदाचित मी त्या चालकाचा व्यवहार वेळेवर सोडून द्यायला हवा होता. ते जे त्यांनी केलं ते त्यांच कर्म होतं. मी वेळेचे भान ठेवून तक्रार कक्षात नाही जायला पाहिजे होतं. एका मिनिटासाठी  मला पुढचे १५ मिनिटं थांबावी लागले त्यात बस ५/७ मिनिट उशीरा आली. शेवटी पाऊस हा आलाच. काही गोष्टी आपल्या हातात नसतात, मनाची चिडचिड करण्याऐवजी आपण त्या वेळेवर सोडून देवून आपण आपला धर्म पार पाडला पाहिजे.

अशा प्रकारे मी आजच्या झालेल्या घटनेस/अनुभवास साक्ष होतो.
