WONDERS OF WORLD 

There have been several lists of the Seven Wonders of the World throughout history, but the most commonly recognized ones are:

The Great Pyramid of Giza - Located in Egypt, it is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza pyramid complex.


Hanging Gardens of Babylon - The location of the gardens is disputed, but it is believed to have been built in Mesopotamia (present-day Iraq).



Statue of Zeus at Olympia - The statue was located in the temple of Zeus at Olympia, Greece, and was considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

Temple of Artemis at Ephesus - Located in present-day Turkey, the temple was dedicated to the Greek goddess Artemis.

Mausoleum at Halicarnassus - Built as a tomb for Mausolus, the ruler of Caria in present-day Turkey.

Colossus of Rhodes - A bronze statue of the Greek god Helios, located in the city of Rhodes, Greece.

Lighthouse of Alexandria - A tower built on the island of Pharos, off the coast of present-day Egypt, to guide ships into the port of Alexandria.

There are also several modern-day wonders of the world, including:

Great Wall of China - A series of fortifications built along the northern borders of China to protect against invaders.


Petra - An ancient city carved into rock in present-day Jordan.

Christ the Redeemer - A statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Machu Picchu - An ancient Incan city located in Peru.

Chichen Itza - An ancient Mayan city located in Mexico.


Roman Colosseum - An amphitheater located in Rome, Italy.


Taj Mahal - A mausoleum located in Agra, India, built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal.
